Day 1
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel. City tour by bus including a visit to the Bogd Khan Winter Palace at the foot of the sacred Bogd Khan Mountain. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2
Drive to the airport for a flight to the Gobi camp. Late afternoon excursion to Yolyn Am, with a small wildlife museum and a beautiful canyon. Return from Yolyn Am at night. Accommodation in our Mongolian ger camp.
Day 3
Early morning walk to observe wildlife near the camp, relax or free time during the day and an afternoon drive to observe wildlife. Excursion to the Flaming Cliffs (Bayanzag) to follow the trail of the famous paleontologist and explorer Roy Chapman Andrews. Witness the sun set over the Flaming Cliffs and observe the wildlife at dusk. Watch the stars rise over the Gobi Desert. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 4
Early morning drive to Tugrugiin Shiree and the sand dunes. Picnic lunch.
Day 5
Transfer to Hurih Mountain Camp for two nights.
Day 6
Full day excursion in the Borzongiin Gobi, visit the remains of temples located south of Borzongiin Gobi, Overnight stay in tents.
Day 7
Drive back to ger camp. Afternoon visit to camel breeder's ger.
Day 8
Flight back to Ulaanbaatar.
Day 9
After breakfast, visit Gandan Monastery, followed by a visit to the Mongolian Fine Arts Museum. After lunch visit to the Natural History Museum. Overnight in hotel.
Day 10
Day trip to Terelj National Park. Lunch at the Ger camp. Late afternoon Mongolian Folklore performance and dinner in a Mongolian Restaurant. Overnight in hotel.
Day 11
Breakfast in hotel and depart.
